MBE Application Process

In order to become MBE certified, Businesses must follow this 4-step process:

  1. Register Business - wisdp.wi.gov​
  2. Login to t​he Wisconsin Supplier Diversity Portal and Complete the MBE Certification Application
  3. Upload required documents from the MBE Checklist.pdf
  4. Verify and Submit ​MBE Certification Application​
Supplier Diversity Program staff will review submitted applications within 30 days. If there are questions or additional documents needed, SDP staff will communicate directly​​ with the Business' Primary Contact person. 

There is no fee for new MBE Certification Applications.​

Please submit MBE Certification Applications in their entirety as incomplete​ applications or applications without all the required or requested documents require longer review and processing time.​


JOINT VENTURES

Joint Ventures are one-time associations of 2 or more persons or businesses for the purpose of carrying out a time-limited, singe business enterprise. ​Please see the JV Guidelines document below for more information on JVs.

​No ownership held in Trust shall be considered as held by the minority owner or owner(s). - Adm. Code 84.05 (4)​
